Pangaea will be a robust and feature filled game engine built using Allegro (http://alleg.sourceforge.net). It will be in the vein of Neverwinter Nights, complete with map editor/world builder, but using a 2D sprites-based engine like Chrono Trigger. We also plan on releasing an easily-scriptable engine, with the C++ core, able to interperet Python modules. Hopefully this will make it easy for anyone with just a simple amount of programming expertise to use.|
We are always looking for people with ideas or even to help code. Mainly we need lots of bitmaps to ship the engine with a nice set of graphics right off the bat.
